Asha (AH-sha) means “hope” in Hindi and “life” in Swahili. We both hail from multi-ethnic backgrounds and wanted a word that could be heard and understood in more than one language.
We believe asha, or hope, blooms in the most unexpected of places. This was true for us during the three years of our fertility journey, experiencing many moments of uncertainty, anger or sadness. Through it all, asha kept showing up, and we continued to follow her. We're so glad we did, and we're so glad you're here.
Please use our pieces for the intention or affirmation you purchased it for, or simply wear the piece for its beauty as you go about your day. Our aim is to have the wearer believe in the mantra, and ultimately themselves.
We suggest you follow these tips to ensure your lovingly handcrafted jewelry lasts as long as possible.
- Be gentle with your pieces. Jewelry is delicate.
- Polish your metals with a non-abrasive cloth specifically made for jewelry. If your piece came with a polishing cloth, we recommend using it each time.
- Remember to remove jewelry before showering or bathing, swimming, or exercising.
- Avoid allowing the jewelry to touch hair or skin products.
- Store each piece by itself with care.
Our standard shipping is free within the United States. Shipping typically takes three business days, but in some cases can take up to five business days. We also offer expedited shipping options. Orders are filled within three days of purchase. We ship within the United States, excluding overseas US territories. As of April 2020, we also ship to Canada, the UK, and Ireland! Please allow extra time for your order to cross the border and get through customs. All prices on our website are in USD. Prices are converted to CAD during the payment transaction, using the most current exchange rates. Customers are responsible for paying any relevant customs taxes, fees, or duties.
We’re happy to accept returns of any of our products within 30 days, for any reason. Simply contact us using the form on our Contact Us page, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. To facilitate the process, please have your order or invoice number available, along with your reason for return. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns after 30 days.

Gemstones are sourced from multiple places, including a reputable bead shop in Seattle, a jewelry wholesaler, and well-known vendors at gem shows. Stones originate from around the world.
Metals are sourced from a reputable United States jeweler who has been in business since 1944. Many metals are recycled and most are from the United States with a few findings from Italy. To date, metal tags with the Asha Blooms logo are ordered from China. These pieces are gold or silver plated.
Argentium silver is a modern sterling silver alloy, containing more pure silver than sterling silver (93.5% vs 92.5%). It has a natural brightness that is free of any plating. More impressive? You won’t have to clean it as often as sterling silver as Argentium has a tarnish-resistant finish.
Gold filled pieces are pieces that are legally required to contain a certain percentage of gold by weight. In most of our gold jewelry, we use 14k gold. A solid layer of gold is bonded to a base metal using air pressure. The layer of gold on gold filled items is much thicker that that produced by gold plating, and won’t flake off. Gold filled jewelry has a long life, and if taken care of, can last several years.
